The Memorial Hospital Relay for Life Team will be hosting a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society. Registration for this tournament will open at 3 p.m. at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds in the Flower Building. 
Relay for Life team member and MRI Technologist at Memorial Hospital, to Heather Deitzel said: “With the popularity of poker right now, we are hoping to provide an entertaining platform that raises cancer awareness to all segments of the population of Sandusky County.”
The buy in for this tournament is $40 and rebuys will be available. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the ACS and the Sandusky County Relay for Life team.
The ACS provides people living with cancer and their families with resources such as caregiver information, preventative measures and other support programs.
According to The Relay For Life Web site, who said: “a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.”
