When you play blackjack you most to have a pair of cards that add up to 21 points, when an Ace can take the value of either 1 or 11 points depending on the player’s preference and the faces count as 10. Should you draw a card that will push you beyond the 21 limit, you end up losing and the fact that a dealer draws last is not in player’s favor.

Your winning chances may be increased if you study the notorious blackjack card counting system. If you excel in it, lots and lots of money may befall your way. But if  you don’t overdo, since by winning too much you’re risking your reputation of an honest blackjack player and thus may become an outcaste. Then your name will appear in the black list that spreads among all the casino that from now on will decline your entrance.

The key to this system is to look for extremes. The absence or predominance of exposed high cards is easily noticeable by casual observation.

Often you will play several hands where the mix of face cards and low value cards are relatively even. Casual card counting is something you should always do unless you are following a strict card counting system such as the Hi-Low system. It won’t guarantee winners for you on every hand, but it will give you a slight advantage.
