The Chicago White Sox are locked in a struggle with Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers. Detroit Tigers have the right hand, even if there is only a couple of games that separate the teams in the standings.
Now is when one or 2 additions mean the difference between 1 team succeeding and making the playoffs, and another loosing. The Chicago White Sox are trying to make several moves for the reason to be the team in the playoffs.
The last move was when they have claimed former All-Star Alex Rios off of waivers. Rios is a well known star player of these times who is somewhat of a gamble for the White Sox.
Now, Scott Podsednik is trying hardly to play well for the Chicago White Sox, and is also trying to provide a spark after he was called up from the minor leagues.
